Trying to move forward with the “segmentation”, the Secretary of Energy reported this Thursday that around three and a half million low-income households will not see natural gas rate increases throughout this year.
“The three and a half million low-income users who have obtained the subsidy for having scored in the RASE (Registration of Access to the Energy Subsidy) will not have increases in the gas value component during this year. The database of the segmentation remains open and those households that do not apply or are high income will receive a single increase of 28.3%“, explained Flavia Royonbody owner.
For this reason, there will be no increase in the value of natural gas for users enrolled in Level 2, whose only annual increase will be concentrated in the components of transportation and distribution. For their part, users included in Levels 1 and 3 of the rate segmentation in force will receive an increase that contemplates increases in the value of the fluid, transportation and distribution.
Small Business Subsidies
Likewise, and through a statement, the official referred to the situation of the businesses and specified that “the micro and small companies that are in the MIPYME registry will continue to be reached by subsidies, while large companies will have an increase of 28.3%. It is an increase that takes care of the neighborhood businesses, the neighbor and the growth of the industry against the inflation“.
In this sense, Royón highlights that it aims to comply with a double objective: build a path of predictable prices for the sector and reduce inflationary expectations to protect the income of workers and the whole of economic activity.
